I used my Niko D5100 yesterday evening, and it was working fine. I transferred photos to my Laptop via cable, and switched it off the as usual. Charge was at 50% last night. This morning, i have tried switching it on, but nothing seems to work. No LED signals or whatever! What could be the problem?

Hi. The battery may have drained for some reason. How old /new is the camera. Consider charging it for a while an see whether it will power on. If it persists, then you may have to change the battery or try it out with a spare battery.

The first check of course, as @RobertDSLR says, should be the battery. But if it still doesn't work, then check all the connections. There could be a loose connection somewhere. Check all the electricals for broken connections.

How old is the camera. Could be a motherboard issue. If it is still within the warranty period, don't try to open it, just take it back for the vendor to check it out.
